Braintree Pickleball Players, established in 2014, has grown into a vibrant community of pickleball enthusiasts. In 2022, they opened eight dedicated courts behind Hollis School & Playground at 490 Washington St., funded by the Braintree Community Preservation Act. Their aim is to offer organized drop-in play for adults of all skill levels. The yearly fee supports club insurance, balls, and equipment, enhancing the playing experience. They are committed to giving back to the player community and Braintree, working closely with the town’s Recreation Department and leadership.

Since all of the Braintree Pickleball Players pickleball courts are outdoor (8), you may need to bring your own pickleball net. Some of the nets are in not great shape so you may not want to take a chance.

Braintree has many options to play pickleball; there are some private courts (not run by Braintree) that are particularly good. The pickleball courts run by the Braintree Recreation Department are fine for beginner pickleball players. As the demand for pickleball courts increases in Massachusetts, Braintree may need to invest in pickleball courts and facilities.
