Just a stone’s throw away from the historic Castle Island, Evans Field in South Boston hosts an array of sports facilities, encompassing a softball field, hockey rink, and not to forget, pickleball courts. Easily reached by bus or car, the park offers additional recreational opportunities with its close proximity to Pleasure Bay and M Street Beach, providing a tempting option for a refreshing swim post an intense pickleball game.

They have 4 great outdoor pickleball courts! The court lines are permanent, but you’ll need to bring your own net.

Since all of the Evans Field pickleball courts are outdoor (4), you may need to bring your own pickleball net. Some of the nets are in not great shape so you may not want to take a chance.

Boston has many options to play pickleball; there are some private courts (not run by Boston) that are particularly good. The pickleball courts run by the Boston Recreation Department are fine for beginner pickleball players.
