What a great place; 1st class courts and a very friendly staff; you do NOT need to be a JCC (Jewish Community Center) Greater Boston member to play pickleball in Newton – though you may want to join and enjoy the dozens of other benefits of membership.

JCC pickleball lessons are a great way for players of all levels to learn and enhance their game. Intro classes are perfect for players with minimal to no knowledge of the game and are looking to learn how to play. For those with some experience, the Intermediate classes are designed to help players build their confidence and technique. No matter your starting point, JCC pickleball lessons can take you from beginner to expert in no time!

Good news: JCC of Greater Boston is private but there is no membership required and the public is welcome.

All of the JCC of Greater Boston pickleball courts are indoor (2); no need to bring a pickleball net.

Newton has many options to play pickleball; there are some private courts (not run by Newton) that are particularly good. The pickleball courts run by the Newton Recreation Department are fine for beginner pickleball players. As the demand for pickleball courts increases in Massachusetts, Newton may need to invest in pickleball courts and facilities.
